Five Years of SPURT!

Today we celebrate five years of SPURT.

This us a good day to emphasize our vision once more:

SPURT is created for the purpose of providing benevolence for all of humanity. SPURT can only be used for business ventures that enhance and enrich mankind and SPURT users will not waste the riches of the earth to the detriment of mankind.

Our vision is to provide people with money that is not subject to inflation or devaluation; money that reflects the real value of what the people put in – businesses, jobs, ideas, services, etc. SPURT was created to make it easier, for all, to do business and be in the flow of life and creation, innovation – our future.

Our vision is to inspire Your Vision, so that together we can build a real and honest marketplace, by the people for the people, locally and globally. We are creating this in mutual benefit, together, as the diversified communities of users both locally and globally. Ultimately we envision a global true alternative, an equitable and private economy that is free of debt and free of usury.

Our mission, to enhance and enrich mankind, can be found in our complete
Terms and Conditions
, and is summarized with this quote:

“I declare and affirm that SPURT will be used to enhance and enrich mankind, that I only use my funds for business ventures with a good purpose (not evil ones) and that I will not knowingly waste the riches of the earth to the detriment of mankind.”

This is our vision (!) now as much as it was when we started 5 years ago. Read it well and see how much we drifted away from this mission! Now we are thinking (and acting) that the best option is to give the people, for our beautiful vision, money that IS subject to inflation or devaluation. Money that is NOT representing what people put into it.

We want to go back to this vision and stick to it firmly. We decided to make a clear cut between the beautiful digital currency we offer, SPURT, and any attempt from MySPURT itself to exchange SPURT into any other currency. We need to go back to our vision, which is to offer the world a better chance!

SPURT is available within the system to do business, and exchange can be accomplished by commercial processes.

How you started

For most of you joining five years ago, the reason was that you lost access to IBOM, the bank where your funds were at that time. This Newsletter is mostly for you. We will send another newsletter this week for our later clients.

We want to go back and remember you how you got the funds you have.

Most of you bought access to business under the condition that you would need to bring back business for 4 x the amount you received. You paid these partners to work with them. You did NOT pay SPURT.

To find a business bringing 4x value was not so easy as you thought, and most of you had no clue how to do that. Then there came the option that IBOM would overtake that responsibility and would allow you to do business with them and through them. IBOM offered huge interest as well. The accounts increased, while only a few did real business.

Then the day came, five years ago, that IBOM closed its doors, totally unexpected to any of us. It was a shock, but since we were doing the administration for IBOM, because of our relationship with those clients, we decided to keep the value in the accounts and to present SPURT, based on backing from our partners with high values in business and assets.

We offer our clients, as you can see in our vision, the same chance: do business using SPURT. What you want though is: easy exchange into a currency you are used to.

Generally, people do and think what is familiar to them. But that is NOT the basis for SPURT. The foundation to work with SPURT is doing business with it. Barter, or any other business.

We lost our vision

In the past five years, even we lost our vision and adopted the idea of the clients that WE need to exchange SPURT for the currency that we, in our own vision, said we would not use. We as well almost started to believe that SPURT would only have value when it was altered.
But in thousands of places in the world, currencies like SPURT are used to flourish communities, and we showed this on a regular basis to our clients. Even the TimeBank is an excellent example of this option, as well as the other options we offer on our website. Yes, it needs a community to work like that, but that was our goal to begin with! We want to change the world! We want a just world—a world where all people have a chance. We almost lost that idea under the pressure of exchange. We are happy that we awakened from that dream, or better, nightmare now.

Even new clients did not join to enjoy the use of SPURT. They just wanted the familiar currencies of the world as well. But why would we provide that? Would it change the lives of those we started this all for?

ZIMBABWE and South Africa

In Zimbabwe, where local money is a perfect means to grow the failing economy, people are also only used to the known currencies the world is using. Do you not realize that these currencies were the problem in the first place.
Later more about these countries in another newsletters.

For those focusing only on exchange

In the website MySPURT.org, under Business, we published options for exchange.

In the past, we had partners with promises.

During these five years, there were several people we started to work with to get an exchange. Now we see that none of them kept their promises. Was that because we lost our way?

Support

Of course, we will, as you know from us, be there to support you, be there for you when you want to transfer significant amounts. You know that you can transfer lower amounts yourself. We will not answer any question regarding: When is exchange ready, or what is the update, meaning the same.
Exchange in some percentages is essential. We know that. What we know we work on, also trying to connect to larger communities and governments in the countries where SPURT IS used. We guarantee that we will do our utmost to get SPURT more widely accepted, but we cannot do that alone.

Thank you for being with us.
